Hydrogen Technology
With the pressure rising to reduce fuel bills, beat off competition from lower cost competitors and
meet new legislation, we can provide the solution.
Many products offer improvements in efficiency but often have undesirable repercussions, like the
need to heavily modify the vehicle, refuelling difficulties, complicated installation or the
requirement to store dangerous fuel.
Green Fuels is pleased to introduce hydrogen technology without any of the drawbacks. The HT 1500
delivers substantial fuel savings in addition to significant improvements in emissions and engine
performance.
Rather than burning pure hydrogen, we have realised the benefits of hybrid technologies so we can
now offer on-board hydrogen electrolysis equipment which can be used in conjunction with other
road fuels.
Green Fuels Hydrogen Technology enables internal combustion engines to work more efficiently by
adding hydrogen to a regular hydrocarbon fuel.
The unit converts distilled water to hydrogen and oxygen. When the hydrogen gas is introduced the
engine's combustion chamber, it produces a cleaner, more complete burn of the fuel, resulting in
lower emissions, increased horsepower and better fuel economy.
The scientific theory of burning fuel more efficiently in a hydrogen enriched air mixture has been
acknowledged for quite some time. However, until now no one has been able to put together a
portable, reliable, safe system that will work with any internal combustion engine regardless of
the type of fuel.
How It Works
The unit separates the hydrogen and oxygen molecules creating hydrogen and oxygen gases by
electrolysis.
The gases are produced under a slight pressure, which ensures a consistent flow to the engine. A
hose from the unit delivers the gas to the air intake of the vehicle.
The small amounts of nascent oxygen and hydrogen present in the air-fuel mix will cause a chain
reaction that ignites all of the primary fuel molecules simultaneously. Faster, more complete burns
are the keys to improving efficiency in internal combustion engines.
Because the burn is now more efficient, emissions such as nitrous oxides, hydrocarbons and carbon
monoxide are reduced both over time and distance. Burning the fuel in the combustion chamber more
completely will increase fuel economy and horsepower, while reducing maintenance and operating
costs.
The unit is simple to install and can even be moved from one vehicle to another by a qualified
technician.
It can be mounted anywhere that suits the company, driver and technician, without interfering with
the operation of the truck or trailer.
Possible applications of the system include:
- HGV’s
- Buses
- Stationary Generators
- Loaders
- Transit Mix Trucks
- Forklift Trucks
- Marine
Benefits
- Greater Fuel Economy
With the potential to realise substantial fuel savings, it is easy to see why your cost reductions
will almost immediately follow the installation of our unit. Savings of up to 25% are typical.
- Engine & Exhaust Saving
Incomplete combustion causes a build up of carbon deposits in the engine. The unit stimulates the
combustion process to help eliminate existing deposits and prevent future carbon build up. The
result is a reduction of abrasion and wear of pistons, rings, valves, cylinder walls and overall
degradation of the engine and its oils.
- Improved Horsepower
By promoting a more complete burn, and by keeping engine lubricants cleaner most vehicles
experience a noticeable increase in horsepower. Combustion is simply more powerful, thus resulting
in more torque and general output from your engine.
FAQ's
Q: How often does the unit need topping up?
A: 1L of additional water is to be added after every 50 hours of operation.
Q: How will it affect my engine?
A: The improved engine combustion results in less carbon build up inside the engine thus a
cleaner running engine resulting in lower overall costs.
Q: Will the unit function on other fossil fuel internal combustion engines?
A: Yes. It will effectively operate with any internal combustion engine burning fossil fuel.
Q: Are engine modifications required when installing the unit?
A: No. There are no engine modifications required when installing the unit.
Q: Will my engine overheat?
A: No. The increase in efficiency of the thermodynamic cycle actually results in lower engine
temperature.
Q: Can anyone install the unit?
A: No. We have a network of trained technicians to professionally install the product. We can
also certify your mechanic staff so they can safely install the unit on your vehicles.
Q: Is hydrogen safe to use?
A: The unit produces 1.5-2 litres of gas per minute and is under a very low pressure, so poses
no explosion risk.
